Since moving it to the front of the garden where it enjoys the sun all day, it has responded well and thrown out more leaves and traps. Even the colour has deepened.
The plantlet that grew from a leaf I had stuck into the sphagnum moss is growing as well, and is currently about 1 cm across.
Now I’m quite tempted to pull a few more vft leaves … 😀
Here’s an update on the baby after 2 months:
Very nice, Vi!
Vi i spy your vfts sitting on a garden ornament! how nice! wish my garden was safe enough for me to sit my cps out, but then again if its not the cats it be the horrendous wind i get during spring! anyway very very nice vfts! now u are poisoning me! make a forest of it vi!
hahaha, it’s the birdbath!
Later it catch and kill the birds how?
either the VFT will have to grow 100x its current size or it’d have to be a very tiny bird the size of a housefly. 😀
That is really nice grow!!!!
wah … nice!
What if the birds come to the bird bath to peck, peck the VTF?
hehehe. i never thought of that before, chawanmushi, but i guess there are enough waterlily tubs in the garden which offer bigger and more accessible pools of water.
very nice growth!! Do pull more leaves! they grow from leaf pullings.
If not u can wait for the plant to go into dormancy then when they spring back to life, u can expect more babies to form from the base. (“,)
i have done a couple more and they are growing too, sasa. 🙂 the first one is growing very well. 😀
Mind to teach how to do leaf pulling…tq
hi timeEve, i’ll do a leaf-pull this weekend and upload some shots, ok? 🙂
